Patacancha community is a vivential tourism in Cusco and its people still maintain their current culture, one of the specialties of these descendants of the Incas is their textile, their clothes, as usually happens with a series of community enterprises, have totally eye-catching colors.

Day 01: Cusco – Patacancha – Weaving – Agriculture
Our agency staff will pick you up from your respective hotel in Cusco at 7:00 am, we head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas along the Chinchero route stopping at Raqchi Viewpoint to appreciate part of the Sacred Valley.
At 10:00 am. approximately we will arrive at our destination the community of Patacancha where villagers will be waiting us with a warm welcome with music, dances and with our their typical costumes, then we will dress like the inhabitants of Patacancha.
Accommodation in the rooms of Patacancha families and we prepare for our activities in Patacancha:
Activity 01 “Weaving demonstration”: In this activity we will have the opportunity to learn the traditional techniques used in the preparation of their materials, the extraction of wool and the use of natural dyes, this activity is carried out by women.
At the appropiate time a delicious typical lunch awaits us, it can be a wooden guinea pig accompanied by the natural products of the community, or some other dish prior coordination with the agency.
Activity 02 “Demonstration of agriculture”: In this activity it allows us to see firsthand the ancestral activities and techniques carried out by the inhabitants of Patacancha on their farms (farmland), we can also see their tools and even be part of these activities.
Later we can take a tour of the town and graze through the entire town of Patacancha, and return home with cattle such as sheep, cows or lamas.

Day 2: Patacancha – Ceremonial Payment to Mother Earth- Alpaca’s Tinka – Pachamanca Food
A nutritious breakfast at the family’s house that will be hosting us, this breakfast is prepared based on Andean cereals such as beans, quiwicha, cañigua, and roasted corn.
Travel for about 30 minutes above the Patacancha to do our next activities.
Activity 03 “Ceremonial Payment to Mother Earth”: Today we will know the mystical side of Patacancha, the payment to the land is a symbolic way of how the community and the families watch over their products and their animals through different Andean rituals transmitted from generation to generation .
Activity 04 “Alpaca’s Tinka”: It is a small ceremony where the inhabitants thank the Andean deities, ask for a better production and also that their animals are protected from any danger.
“Pachamanca lunch” at the end of our activities we return to Patacancha where our lunch is ready. Pachamanca is a typical dish made from beef, chicken or other types seasoned with ingredients such as huacatay, chili, cumin, pepper and other spices, as well as additional andean original products, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, beans in pods and eventually, cassava cooked only based on preheated stones which makes the taste different from the typical food of the city.
At 3:00 pm. return to the city of Cusco and end of our activities.
On the way back we can make stops at different viewpoints of the Sacred Valley and take pictures to remember our trip through the land of the Incas.
